Cheryl’s “𝒮𝓉𝑜𝓇𝓎”.

“Blessed are pure in heart, for they shall see God” Matthew 5:8

 You get knocked down, you get back up. You come to a mountain; you climb it, and you continue climbing it until you’ve reached the top. Matthew 5:8 is a verse that has helped create the forever-changed mindset of our next Guiding Light Grant recipient.  It has taught her how to tackle the challenges that are presented in life and how to find the strength to keep going.

Cheryl Irvine is tenacious, thoughtful, and kind. She is hardworking and never gives up on horses or the roadblocks presented to her in life. In fact, Cheryl has dedicated her life to horses and bettering herself as a horseman. She’s been an outrider at numerous tracks, a standardbred driver, ridden jumpers and western pleasure horses, and in her younger days she even bucked out broncs!  She has had opportunities to both ride and work under some outstanding trainers, soaking up the knowledge they provided.

Cheryl is currently battling her second bout with Ovarian Cancer. It’s been a tough battle, but remaining in true Cheryl fashion, she is determined to win this round and is thankful for the many blessings that have been bestowed upon her. You won’t get her down, and you’ll never see her give up.
